Each session combines hands-on treatment with movement and strength work. Techniques are chosen after your assessment; no single approach is right for everyone.
One-on-one rehabilitation for injuries, surgery, and pain that limit how you move, guided by your surgeon's protocol when one applies.
Your strength, balance, and movement are assessed to develop a customized program that supports stability, confidence, and independence.
Manual therapy is skilled, hands-on treatment for joints, muscles, and soft tissue. Techniques are chosen after your assessment and adjusted to your comfort.
Gentle, sustained pressure and movement applied to fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, to ease tightness after injury, surgery, or inactivity.
Controlled, hands-on movements that treat stiff or painful joints and the tissue around them to restore comfortable range of motion.
Specialized hands-on techniques to improve scar mobility, address tissue restrictions, and support comfortable movement following surgery or injury, once healing allows.
Handheld instruments apply controlled pressure to stiff or sensitive soft tissue to support easier, more comfortable movement.
Gentle suction applied through cups on the skin, used as an optional part of a hands-on session for tight or tender tissue.
Guided stretching with hands-on support to improve flexibility and range of motion within your comfort.
Radical1 Therapy isn't only for recovery. If you're healthy and active, one-on-one training helps you build strength, move well, and stay that way.
Progressive resistance training designed around your goals, history, and current level.
Targeted exercises that address imbalances and compensations so you move more efficiently.
Work that improves how freely your joints and muscles move, for daily life or sport.
Focused training to build lean muscle, shape, and definition.
Sport-specific strength, power, and movement training for golf, hiking, and other pursuits.
Ongoing sessions that keep you strong and mobile after rehabilitation or as part of a long-term routine.
Sessions may incorporate mindful breathing, relaxation techniques, and calming music to create a comfortable, restorative environment. These elements complement hands-on physical therapy and movement-based care and are incorporated according to each client's preferences and needs.
Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles. After an injury, surgery, or time away from activity, it can feel tight, tender, or restricted. I use hands-on pressure and movement to address those areas, adapting pressure to your comfort and stage of healing, then pair the work with movement so the change carries into daily life.
I use controlled, hands-on movements to treat a joint that is stiff or painful, adjusting direction, range, and intensity to your feedback. An assessment first helps tell joint stiffness apart from weakness or guarding. After surgery or a fracture, or if you have hypermobility, treatment is modified, and the focus may be control and support rather than more range.
Once an incision or injury has healed enough, scar tissue can feel tight or limit how you move. I use gentle, specific hands-on techniques on the scar and surrounding tissue, then follow with movement so you can use that range comfortably. Timing follows your healing and any instructions from your surgeon.
IASTM uses specially designed handheld instruments to apply controlled pressure to stiff or sensitive soft tissue. I adjust the angle, speed, and pressure as you give feedback. Some temporary redness or tenderness can occur, and the technique is avoided or modified when your skin, healing, or health history makes it unsuitable.
Cupping uses gentle suction applied through cups placed on the skin. I include it only when it fits your goals, comfort, and health history, and I'll explain what to expect first. Some people notice temporary circular marks or tenderness afterward. If you have fragile skin or a condition that affects bleeding or healing, let me know before treatment.
With hands-on support, I guide you through stretches that improve flexibility and range of motion while staying within your comfort. Stretching is often paired with strengthening so you can control the new range you gain.
Recovery doesn't stop at regaining range of motion. Whether your goal is climbing stairs with confidence, returning to hiking or golf, or building muscle and definition, I design one-on-one programs around what you want your body to do, including resistance training, balance, core control, and mobility, and adjust the load and pace as you progress.
Your first session starts with a conversation about your goals and a focused assessment. Sessions are typically 60 minutes, one-on-one with me, in the studio or in your home.
